The big freeze in Andermatt was a great test for our new insulation and geothermal heating system

The big freeze is slowly over at the Basecamp Andermatt. Last weeks the temperature dropped over night below -25´C and with the windchill-effect it was well below -35´C. Our new insulation and geothermal heating was tested at the outmost hardest conditions. It proved to be reliable and the rooms and the hostel was cozy and warm. Before it was almost too warm to light up the fireplace but now it was time sit around the fire. After freezing almost to solid ice while skiing, the sauna was great place to warm up again. Its supposed to get warmer again, what means the next snowfall is coming soon. C U in the snow Lars
